Letter K Beginning Sound Worksheet

The first letter K activity is a fun coloring page.

The alphabet worksheet has 30 images of different items. Kids need to sound out each word, and color the objects that begin with an K sound. They will end up coloring 18 items with the initial sound of the letter K.

With just a few crayons, young learners can color the kite, kitten, king, and keys.

It’s ideal for preschool and kindergarten children.

Kids will be shown 12 images and be asked to identify which syllable (or syllables) in each word contains a K sound. 

For example, children will be shown an image of a basketball. Underneath the image will be 3 boxes, each representing a syllable.

They will need to sound the word out and decide in which syllable(s) they hear a K sound. Kids might find it helpful to clap while saying each syllable.
