This word search is best suited for early elementary aged children and is an easy level puzzle.
This word search puzzle has 12 hidden color words for kids to find and circle.
The words are hidden horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, but only forward facing. There are no words that are upside down or backward to make it easier for children to find.
The color words are grade 2 spelling words from the color themed spelling week.
This printable puzzle will be a great worksheet for students to work on during that week to give them more practice with working with the individual letters that make up each word.
Color Words
There are eight colors hidden in this puzzle:
- blue
- red
- yellow
- green
- black
- white
- pink
- brown
And there are also four color words:
- color or colour (depending on if you use the American spelling or the spelling of other English countries)
- rainbow
- dark
- light
If desired, kids who enjoy coloring can color the crayons their color after finding that color word in the puzzle.
