Supplies Needed
For each of the designs below you will need:
- a regular 5.7″ square pegboard (29 X 29 beads)
- OR an extra large 10″ X 13.25″ clear pegboard (69 X 49 beads)
- Perler beads (or Hama beads) in various colors
Mario
You will need an extra large pegboard for Mario.
The Mario pattern is 30 beads wide and 38 beads tall. These are the color beads you will need:
- 145 blue
- 139 red
- 108 white
- 98 sand
- 73 brown
- 30 black
- 16 dark brown
- 4 yellow
- 3 pink
Piranha Plant
The Piranha Plant will require an extra large pegboard OR 2 connecting 5.7″ pegboards, one on top of the other.
This Mario enemy is 34 beads tall and 21 beads wide.
For this Perler bead pattern you will need:
- 71 white beads
- 58 red beads
- 208 green beads
Super Mushroom
The pattern for a Super Mushroom is 22 beads wide and 23 beads tall.
A regular 5.7″ square pegboard will work.
You will need:
- 140 white beads
- 176 red beads
- 88 sand color beads
- 16 black beads
1-Up Mushroom
The 1-up mushroom is 22 beads wide and 23 beads tall. It will fit on a regular 5.7″ square pegboard.
It uses these beads:
- 140 white
- 176 green
- 16 black
- 88 peach
Bullet Bill
The Bullet Bill pattern is 24 beads wide and 19 beads tall. A regular 5.7″ square pegboard is sufficient.
Bullet Bill requires:
- 362 black beads
- 43 white beads
- 25 red beads
Goomba
The Goomba pattern is 27 beads wide and 27 beads tall. It will fit on a regular sized 5.7″ square pegboard.
You will need:
- 242 brown beads
- 101 dark brown beads
- 55 white beads
- 54 sand color beads
- 46 black beads
Koopa Troopa
The Koopa Troopa pattern is 33 beads wide and 28 beads tall.
An extra large pegboard will be needed for this one or 2 connecting 5.7″ pegboards.
Koopa will need:
- 339 yellow beads
- 140 green beads
- 86 white beads
- 73 black beads
Cheep-Cheep
The Cheep-Cheep Perler bead pattern is 29 beads wide and 25 beads tall. It will fit nicely on a regular sized 5.7″ square pegboard.
To make Cheep-Cheep you will need:
- 180 white beads
- 148 red beads
- 143 yellow beads
- 50 sand color beads
- 12 black beads
Shy Guy
Shy Guy is 27 beads wide and 30 beads tall. An extra large pegboard would be best for this.
He is made up of:
- 203 red beads
- 168 white beads
- 68 blue beads
- 64 black beads
- 21 brown beads
- 7 yellow beads
Super Star
Last but not least we have Super Star. The Perler bead pattern for Super Star is 28 beads wide and 26 beads tall.
It will fit on the regular 5.7″ square pegboard.
To make Super Star you will need:
- 322 yellow beads
- 24 black beads
