This free printable disguise a pumpkin craft lets kids transform an ordinary pumpkin into 8 different characters and objects.
Will their pumpkin become a fox, an owl, a mushroom, or maybe even a slice of pumpkin pie?
Kids can choose their favorite disguise, color the pieces, cut them out, and glue them onto their pumpkin. There are also pre-colored versions for children who want to skip the coloring and get straight to crafting.
It’s a fun fall cut-and-paste activity for preschoolers and kindergarten kids, with very little preparation needed.

How to Make a Pumpkin in Disguise
Ready to give your pumpkin a disguise? Here’s how kids can create their own pumpkin character using the printable templates.
Step 1: Choose and Print a Pumpkin Disguise
Choose which disguise your child would like to make.
Print the black-and-white version if they want to color their own pumpkin, or the pre-colored version for a quicker craft.
Step 2: Color the Pumpkin
If using the black-and-white template, have kids color the pumpkin and all the disguise pieces.
They can follow the small colored example in the corner of the page or choose their own colors.
Step 3: Cut Out the Pieces
Carefully cut out the pumpkin and the pieces that will make up its disguise.
Younger children may need help cutting around the smaller or more detailed pieces.
Step 4: Glue the Disguise Onto the Pumpkin
Arrange the pieces on the pumpkin to see where everything goes.
Once they’re happy with how it looks, glue the pieces into place.
The small finished example on the printable can help children figure out where to put each piece.
Step 5: Show Off the Finished Pumpkin
Your pumpkin is now in disguise!
Kids can glue their completed pumpkin onto construction paper, hang it up as a fall decoration, or use it as part of a pumpkin-themed craft display.
