Why These Worksheets Use A Mix of Skills

These worksheets are designed with variety on purpose. When my daughter was younger, she was good at math, but she has ADHD. So if I just gave her a long page of addition, for example, she would shut down and just stare at the page. What I discovered worked much better was mixing different skills together so each section felt fresh and manageable.

That same approach can help many students, not just those with ADHD. Worksheets that rotate skills can reduce boredom, prevent fatigue, and support math confidence by keeping kids engaged without overwhelming them.

Each page in this set includes a mix of concepts, so students stay interested while still getting meaningful practice.

The heart theme adds a little fun.

Skill Level

These worksheets are designed for 3rd grade, but they can also work well for:

  • advanced 2nd graders who need a challenge
  • 4th graders who need extra review
  • mixed-ability classrooms

Worksheet 1 – Math Skill Review

The first page is a general math review of:

  • place value

  • rounding to the nearest ten
